the information in this guide is based on publicly available information. This includes the 'good on you' ratings. This is a very deliberate strategy. If a brand makes a particular statement about sustainability or ethical practices but doesn't support the claim with specific information, the brand's rating is affected because of the apparent lack of transparency

sustainably kind and ethically made clothing and accessories for males of all ages, because what our clothes and accessories are made of, and how they're made, matters – for the planet, for their quality and feel and for the people who make them

we use the word 'kind' instead of 'sustainable' because it's difficult to be precise about what being sustainable actually means. An example is recyled plastic which is not (yet) sustainable but which is perhaps a step in the right direction
